Here are some frequently asked questions:

- What's an optimist?

Webster's dictionary defines…No, wait! You can look that up yourself.

Instead, we'll tell you what optimism is for us. It is not just seeing the silver lining in the darkest of clouds, it is actively searching for it. Try, fail, try again, fail again. When you are not giving up on self-improvement, self-expression and building a better tomorrow. Art is an essential part of our lives and it brings optimism into every day. Now we want to share that art with you.

 

- How do I know the T-shirt will fit?

We promise you will look awesome in one of those! Just make sure to check the sizes in the table provided in each listing and if you are not sure just measure your favourite t-shirt and compare notes. We used to have only Bella & Canvas 3001 shirts but we're now transitioning to using thicker Stanley/Stella Creator shirts. You'll see sizes on each listing.

 

- Can I return my order?

We hope you won’t ever need to do that. If the item you’ve ordered doesn’t make you happy, a kind choice would be to give it to a friend. Imagine a pleasant surprise.

There are no refunds or returns for items unless they damaged in the post. Everything we produce is made special for you after you order. We choose sustainability and don’t store inventory or over-produce to exchange an item. Please make sure to check the size guide before ordering to make sure your apparel fits perfectly.

 

- Where is my order from?

We are based in and inspired by London, UK. It’s our home and it’s where we design and build Optimist Collective.

When you place an order, our system automatically routes your orders to the fulfillment center where they know they will be fulfilled most efficiently. Our main facility is based here in the UK. Additionally, we have fulfillment centers in North Carolina, California, Mexico, Spain, and Latvia and partner-facilities in Canada, Japan & Australia. 

In most cases, your orders will be routed to the nearest fulfillment center, however, there can be an exception - for example, if the item that you’ve ordered is not stocked in the nearest fulfillment center. It may be a combination of a specific colour and size.

 

- Customs Fees

Sometimes, if an item is not available in a facility closest you, your order may be fulfilled in another country. When you’ve placed a bigger order over a certain amount, you may receive a message from your country customs agency to pay a customs fee. Have a look at your country policies.

 

- Order delays during the pandemic

Elina and Dan at Optimist Collective wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who's been showing support to our new adventure in this challenging time. We're staying in touch with our fulfilment partners about fulfilment and shipping delays. We know this isn't what you guys are used to, so we're grateful for your patience as you continue coming back to our brand and enjoying our products. - Can I get a custom design made just for me?

Drop us a line at info@optimistcollective.shop and we will figure something out.

 

- When will I receive my order?

Our transport fairies move fast and you will hear them buzzing at your door in about 14 days from the moment you place the order.

 

- Are those mugs dishwasher/microwave safe?

Yes, they are ceramic - dishwasher and microwave safe. The enamel mug is handwash-only.

 

- How much cash will that tote bag hold?

We approximate around 200 000 dollars, but we might be wrong. Let us know if you know the answer.

- How are you guys coping in this strange world today?

Well, thanks for asking! We create art, read good books, play music (mainly guitar) and meditate. 

 

- When will there be more designs available?

Our aim is to upload new designs very very regularly, so just keep checking back or follow us on Instagram (@optimistcollectiveshop) to be the first to know about all the exciting news.

 

- How do you process my data?

We do the GDPR thing, and we do it well!

 

- Is it safe to shop on your website?

VERY SAFE! Much safer than going to your local shopping mall these days :)

 

- Where do you ship?

USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA / NZ, WORLDWIDE 

EUROPE: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland.

Our printing partners are not available in some countries because of legal restrictions or shipping carrier limitations. For now, the shop is not available and we don't ship to Cuba, Iran, Crimea, Syria, and North Korea.

 

- Are the packaging materials recyclable?

The poly bags used in our packaging are recyclable indeed. As of May 2021, our printing and packaging facility started using packaging made of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. PCR plastics are made from items people recycle every day, like plastic bags and bottles. Most of our PCR plastics are made from shopping bags and wrapping films. Read more about our eco-friendly practices in our How It's Made section.
