Change is the Only Constant

Is it exciting 🤩 or terrifying😱? Is it easy or inconvenient? Do you more often experience legendary change or, perhaps, tragic? When I recognized and accepted that everything changes, I experienced a sense of gratitude and humility towards life. Nothing stays the same in the long run, does it? Feelings, thoughts, our bodies, other people, mountains, shifting continents, universal entropy - all move towards change.
The deeper question is how you feel about it? Can you adapt to change quickly and make decisions that level your emotional state and bring you to the light? Frankly, it’s very easy to be complicated and sad, but it’s constant work to be hopeful and aware.
Writing this, waves of different emotions roll over me. They have different textures and origins and my plan is to accept them, re-colour them, find solutions and fix the problems.
🟡 Some plans fell through this week, so, for a moment, I felt guilty not delivering the promises I made myself. Easy fix - focus on the priorities and remind myself why I do what I do. Why it’s important for me.
🟡 Another wave - I feel overwhelmed. I choose to accept the feeling and to be present - meditate for 10 minutes... I feel calm and focus.
🟡 Next step - break the large overwhelming “Some-Thing” into small doable “-Things”. I’m making a checklist and now the “Some-Thing” doesn’t feel too large to tackle.
By accepting the feelings we have and seeing where they come from, we can focus on solutions.
What are your strategies for other emotions❓ For example anger, boredom or rejection❓
