Have Something to Look Forward To

Elina Pasok
Being an optimist can be hard and some days will be darker than others. But if you think about optimism as a habit and train yourself to see the silver lining you will most definitely get better at it over time.

Here is our optimism tip numberr 3: Have something to look forward to.

No matter how difficult your working day might be, if you have something you love to do planned for the evening or the weekend you will get through the day with ease.

Hobbies are incredibly important and hobbies that consume you, challenge you and transport you to a better world are crucial.

Playing an instrument, writing a book, painting and drawing, building the world's most intricate Lego city and then filming a full-blown action movie in it with your phone - whatever it might be, it will help you stay optimistic.

Do what you love, and do it often. It doesn't need to have the potential to become your full-time career or garner recognition and praise from your family and peers - it just needs to bring you joy.

Remember that thing?
Joy?

Just like when you were a kid? Yes, that is what we are looking for to replenish daily! If you struggle to come up with a hobby, go out there and try new things. Who knows, you might just find something that will keep you busy and optimistic for the rest of your life.

What is your favourite optimism technique? How do you cope with the rainy days?

Please share with us in the comments and let's spread some positivity here!
